The Fishermans Market - Kathleen Ave

The Best Fish and Chips outside of Seattle. 9 years ago I moved from Seattle to Coeur d Alene. Since then I have not found a decent place to eat Fish and Chips. Fishermans Market has a huge selection of fish, clams, oysters, lobster and crab. When you order a typical fish/chips meal you also get your choice of three Col slaw's and about 10 tarter sauce's. Great Service, environment and food!

Calypsos Coffee Company - Lakeside Ave

My favorite place to go for coffee. They dont have a "Bowl of Soul" like Java, but they have the best Latte's I've had here in Coeur d Alene. Often times when I get my 16oz Latte I get a cool design on the top. The Environment here at Calypsos cant be beat. They have a killer conference room that is setup for at least 25 guys with laptops like me. The main area is full of comfortable chairs, couch's and tables. They also have a nice place for children to play.

Java - Sherman Ave.

There is no cooler place to be than Sherman Ave. I mentioned above that I like Calypsos Coffee Company better because its not so crowded. However, if you are in Coeur d Alene, you have to go to Java and get a Bowl of Soul. Make sure you request the Bowl of Soul "for here", it will actually come in a bowl, and is the perfect blend of coffee, mexican chocolate, cinnamon, and more.

Syringa - 4th St

Syringa has the best Japanese food in Coeur d Alene. They have a great, more modern environment with food and prices that cannot be beat.

Takara - Lakeside Ave

Takara has the second best Japanese food in Coeur d Alene. Their environment is a little old. However, they offer really cool...enclosed booths? I guess they are a little more traditional booths where you have to take off your shoes and sit on pillows. They have great food and great service!

The Japan House - Appleway

Terrible. Food is way overpriced. My wife and I were stared at the whole time by the waitress. We could have eaten way better at one of the previous mentioned Japanese food places for less than half the price. My rice came with a hair, and they made no effort to make it up to us. Their Miso soup, which is normally our favorite soup was watered down, tasted like celery soup or something that definitely was not Miso! Hopefully since then they have improved, but I do not recommend eating here.

Bar De Nays - Riverstone

Great atmosphere, great service, great food, great prices. There is nothing bad to say about BarDeNays. They are really good.

Sawtooth Grill - Spokane, Riverfront Park

Best burgers in the world. All fresh, same day ingredients with the perfect sauces and combinations of meat between buns. Amazing.
